Recycling program successfully underway, looking for facility that will accept empty color tubes and hair-foil. Waiting for word from HRM..... (not holding breath) In more positive news, talk is that in September all plastics will be recycled in Halifax! Yay, will be big improvement over current program where only types 1 & 2 are accepted.

Whew! It's been work, but feeling pretty good about our progress. Recycling under control, have reached out for advice on how to deal with hard-to-recycle items. (foil and color tubes) There is a fabulous organization called Green Circle salons in the Metro Toronto area who have set up programs to deal with recycling these, hoping to hear back from them soon.

Have also done TONS of research on small things that make a big difference, found myself with a list of little things we can improve on. Wish me luck!
