Carnival of Beauty

So, the big Carnival of Beauty event was this weekend.

If your not familiar with this event, it's put on every year by Maritime Beauty Supply and is pretty fabulous!

Well, pretty fabulous again!

Met lots of fun people, learned some stuff, saw new things, shopped...... all in all, pretty good time.

The Gala last night was DJ'ed by Halifax's own Logan Hudak. Did an awesome job, as usual. Followed by lots of after party, hear that was a good time. :)

Highlights of the weekend include, LCN's new Glass Nails, FAB! Redken's IntraForce, we just got this in salon, pretty exciting. Babe eyelash extensions, not actually launched yet, but did see some girls wearing them, (getting a set myself as soon as they are released.) Met Scott Moon, Redken's general manager, all around fabulous guy. Sat in on a class by Colin Ford, also pretty fabulous. They had some excellent platform artists and alot of unbelievable local talent!

Pretty great weekend, kind of tired, but getting ready for fashion show on Friday!

Front desk....installed! almost....

New desk in! Almost.... had to order legs for the back units becaude they are ridiculously low. Other than that done! Yayyyy! Front end looking good!

In other news, am in LOVE with Moroccaan Oil's in salon treatments. Having one tommorow after my color. Hey, hair this good is work! Also in LOVE with my Axxium nail laquer in Bubble-Bath. Looks like good clean nails and don't stain with hair color and I can paint over them with regular polish without ruining them. They are pretty much a dream.:) Thanks Brenna.... you're the best... now about my toes.....

Carnival of Beauty is this weekend. Some fabulous stylists coming to Halifax for the event. Lots of stuff I'm excited about, but I must confess I am especially excited about the eyelash extensions! Ok, I'll probably be wearing a set before the weekend is out, so watch out! There'll be some serious lashes going on here!!! Curious as to how they attach....

Two big events for Jonathan Neil coming up, first, this months Golden Fashion Show. The theme is pin-up girl and clothes will be from Pretty Things Boutique. Secondly we are having our grand opening party first Saturday in May! Watch for the invites, they'll be out soon!

Pretty Fabulous

Ok, the show was FABULOUS! I work with these stylists every day, so I know they're great, but sometimes I sit back and think WOW! They are un-believable! I'm so proud I could burst.

Plus, who knew how many fabulous designers there are in Halifax? I saw alot of amazingly creative yet completely wearable fashion out on that runway last night. Makes me excited for Atlantic Fashion week. So, I've got to give kudos to Kim Munson of Orphanage Clothing, Veronica MacIsaac of Veronica MacIaac Apparel and Monica Nauss. And kudos to our fabulous make-up artists, Amanda Crews, Alaura Timmons and I hate to admit it but, I've forgotten the other girls name:( In my defense, I have only met her once and it's only with great effort that I remember my own name. Nevertheless, she was lovely, a joy to work with, and did a great job! If anyone would be so kind as to remind me of her name, I will come back and add it here. (please)
