Monday, July 18, 2011 at 10:05AM New TIGI make-up is being released this week! We have been waiting for this for a lonnngggg... time! By mid-week we will have our new make-up station up and running in our retail area, drop by to browse, test or try out the new product! Our staff will be on hand to help you pick out your best shade!
This is going to be such a fun addition to our salon, can't wait!
Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 3:01PM Ok, the show was FABULOUS! I work with these stylists every day, so I know they're great, but sometimes I sit back and think WOW! They are un-believable! I'm so proud I could burst.
Plus, who knew how many fabulous designers there are in Halifax? I saw alot of amazingly creative yet completely wearable fashion out on that runway last night. Makes me excited for Atlantic Fashion week. So, I've got to give kudos to Kim Munson of Orphanage Clothing, Veronica MacIsaac of Veronica MacIaac Apparel and Monica Nauss. And kudos to our fabulous make-up artists, Amanda Crews, Alaura Timmons and I hate to admit it but, I've forgotten the other girls name:( In my defense, I have only met her once and it's only with great effort that I remember my own name. Nevertheless, she was lovely, a joy to work with, and did a great job! If anyone would be so kind as to remind me of her name, I will come back and add it here. (please)

Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 10:03PM Whew! It's been alot of work, but we are just about ready for our next fashion show.Last one was a great time, so here's hoping this one goes just as well! I really have no right to complain (although I may) I'm just in charge of organizing, the stylists do the real work. I'm glad that they're a creative bunch, we want to do something completely new each time, keep it fresh.
This time we are taking inspiration from some alternative hair show pictures that we've been looking at. Big hair pieces, accessories, creative use of color, really have fun with it. I think Redken should be pleased, they've gone more high fashion in the last couple of years. This should be a good reflection of the direction they're going in.
We've got a couple new make-up artists this time also. One we've used before, the other two are new talent for us. Always exciting to work with someone new, to see what they bring to the table.
Better finish up, tons left to do, plus need a good nights sleep, it's going to be a longggg day!!
