Jonathan Neil Salon opened on Queen Street in downtown Halifax fall 2008. Owners Jon and

Vanessa Foss brought with them 20 years experience in the hair industry and 12 years

experience in advanced client care and merchandising. This is reflected in the fact that

Jonathan Neil Salon won first place in the REDKEN Business and Merchandising Awards in both

 2009 and 2010.

This salon was opened with the vision of offering people a warm, relaxed yet dynamic place to

enjoy while providing stylists a supportive, creative platform from which to perform.

In an effort to be environmentally responsible, we offer ammonia-free color services and

offer a range of paraben, sulfate and silicone free haircare products.  We take pride in recycling

and reducing our carbon footprint wherever possible. We also love and support other local

businesses and our community.

In January 2011 we moved into the Park Victoria building, merging with another highly

successful salon From The Neck Up. From The Neck Up has been in this location for 33 years,

run by Sandra Daphinee. This is a highly exciting move for both of our salons as we become

Jonathan Neil Salon & Spa.

At our new salon/spa we offer a full range of salon, spa and esthetic services where
